This session provides the foundation to using Google Chromebooks. Though many of the skills covered are applicable to the Chrome browser on any device, this session includes Chromebook and Chromebox specific settings.

- Essential Chrome and Chromebook tips/shortcuts, how to take a screenshot
- Chrome Extension to differentiate instruction
- Chrome Apps - Adding to Shelf, Creating of folders, on/offline use of apps
Google Hangouts On Air Event Page - Click "Yes" to add the event and the event URL to your Google Calendar. The YouTube video below will display the Hangout on Air live when it starts and when it's finished, a link to a recording of the Hangout. You can open the event before it starts and enter any questions you may have.
Artifact - a Google Document will be submitted which includes
- Screenshot of a Chrome Web Store showing that a curriculum-specific app is already installed
- Screenshot showing an app being used offline (image must show that Wifi symbol showing the Chromebook is not connected to the Internet)
- Screenshot showing extensions installed which support differentiated instruction - with one extension being used when the screenshot is taken - e.g. the extension SpeakIt! in use
- 200 word (minimum) summarizing the extensions you recommend for supporting differentiation and a short description of each - optional - hyperlink to the extension in the Chrome Web Store
